NAJU is the biggest environmental organization for young people in Germany with more than 75.000 members. It offers a framework for children and young adults aged 6 to 27 to protect nature and the environment. The emphasis of NAJUs activities lies on environmental education and practical nature conservation.

Teenagers and young adults in NAJU participate in exiting competitions. Internet based games on rivers and creeks and the ecology of human habitats provide practical exercises to improve their knowledge and skills. In partnership with the Youth Sports Association, NAJU members investigate the impact of various sports on our natural environment.

NAJU also arranges international exchanges. Here teenagers and young adults can gain valuable experience about people, culture and natural habitats in partner countries. NAJU is part of the network Youth and Environment Europe (YEE).
